Recruitment problem

I absolutely LOVE this game. But for some reason after I recruited Sydney, it said more recruits coming soon, SOON?!?!
My older sister plays this game and she has girls I dont have because I didnt choose them! But yet it says coming soon, and it. WONT STOP FREEZING. Now, the update is telling me I cant do fashion showdowns unless I get 6 girls! Fix it!
